Alexander McQueen

Project type

Photography

Date

December 20th - January 10th

The format this advertisement will take with be short form and print, by this I mean I will have one tv advertisement which will be around 30 seconds and this will be showcasing the clothing and the main content form. I will also include a 15 second advertisement which will be focused more on platforms such as TikTok and instagram where younger audiences could find it. When it comes to their tv advertisement this would definitely be more focused to a 20-30 year old demographic of women as that’s who would be more likely to find those kind of advertisements and is what Alexander McQueen does with there own advertisements. I will also include some print advertisements which will be done through photography and will be more accessible through print media forms like magazines and newspapers as well as photo posts on social media platforms. From a socioeconomic standpoint this will definitely be towards aspirers and succeeders as both of these will financial have more money which Alexander McQueen definitely targets because of there high price point which brings up the point of psychographics; from this point of view I definitely want to focus on the class A and B succeeders and aspirers as this advertisement will definitely target people seeking a luxurious yet edgy look in comparison to other brands. The technique I will be using for this advertisement will be narrative as I really want to tell a story with this to not only play on emotions but give the viewer a overall image and aesthetic directly rather then just showing the product in a more basic way like before and after. Some persuasive techniques I will be using will be pathos which is what McQueen uses normally and it essentially evokes strong emotions; often these being mystery, rebellion, beauty and darkness to create a deep emotional response one of these as a example is there ‘savage beauty’ campaign which does exactly this.
